• News decisions remain with the editorial team, not advertisers or sponsors.
• Paid stories, branded videos, sponsored posts, affiliate links and other commercial placements must be labelled clearly before a reader engages with them.
• Advertising must not be disguised as independent reporting.
• We do not accept payment or gifts in exchange for favourable coverage, suppressing a story, changing a factual finding or removing an accurate report.
• Reporters and editors must disclose relevant financial, personal or organisational conflicts to the editor.
• We keep a record of paid content, the sponsor, the date, the label used and the person who approved it.
• This policy applies to any ad network, direct advertisers, social channels and affiliate links we use.
